Highlights and Dyes: for highlights, the minimum quantity is 2500 units per reference and per order. For dyes, the minimum order is 2 kg per reference and per order.

  • We do our utmost to process your order as quickly as possible. We deliver to almost all destinations worldwide.

    We strive to deliver your package to the carrier the next day for all orders placed before midnight (excluding peak periods). You will be delivered within 48 to 72 hours.

     An express service is possible for any order validated with UPS Express before 12 p.m. only for Metropolitan France, parcel departure the same day, delivery 24/48 hours.

     The possibility of being delivered wherever you want: at home or at a Relay point.

    The possibility of collecting your package via Click and Collect from our premises in Alsace in Volgelsheim (68600).

    The calculation of the contribution to shipping and packaging costs takes into account the net weight of the product.

  • Our premises are located in Volgelsheim in Alsace (68600). However, we do not have a physical store. We only operate via our website. It is therefore impossible to order on site.

    You can still pick up your order placed on the site at our premises. The order must be validated and paid for on the site with the "Pick up in store" delivery method.

    If you do not see this option, you will need to contact us so that we can unblock this delivery method for your account.

    Delivery is free to our TERRE DE BOUGIES warehouse at 1 rue de la clef des champs, 68600 Volgelsheim .

    Your orders are available the next day. An SMS or email will then be sent to you to inform you of the availability of your order. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • It is not possible to modify an order . Once it has been placed, it is automatically recorded and processed as quickly as possible.
  • We do not provide samples. The smallest packaging is 30 mL.We're working on a system that will allow you to come and smell our fragrances at our premises. We hope to offer this in 2025.
  • We have a very specific procedure in place in the event of non-compliance with delivery times of more than 3 days (7 days in the case of a registered letter) or in the event of proven loss of the package by the carrier.

    In this case, contact our customer service so that we can launch a search with the carrier. In the event of a proven loss of the package, we will resend a second order at our expense .

    We do our best to properly package your products before shipping. Please check the integrity of the package upon receipt. If it appears to be open or damaged, you must refuse the package or issue written reservations on the delivery note of the delivery person.

  • Each customer has a withdrawal period of 30 working days from the date of receipt of your package .

    During this period and if the product received does not suit you, you can contact our customer service to request a credit or a refund .

    The product must then be returned with the completed form.

    The cost of returning the product is then the responsibility of the customer .
    Upon receipt of the returned package, our after-sales service will verify the integrity of the order and initiate the credit or refund procedure.

    We insist that the product must be perfectly new (or very cleanly unpacked) when returned for the refund to take place.

  • The perfumes

  • We often hear about CMR (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic and Reprotoxic Substances) but should we be worried?

     As our fragrances are based on natural substances, it is common to find CMRs in their composition. They usually have a role to play in the smell of certain perfumes, and removing them completely would decrease the quality or quantity of the fragrances available.
    Our perfumes may contain, in their raw state, CMR levels (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic and Reprotoxic substances) ranging from 0.1% to 3.3% .

    However, in a candle where the fragrance represents about 10% of the product (the rest being wax), the concentration of these substances is considerably diluted. For example, a fragrance containing 1.62% of reprotoxic substance ends up at about 0.16% in the final candle, a level well below the regulatory thresholds and therefore safe under normal conditions of use.

    For comparison, everyday products such as certain essential oils, chlorine in swimming pools or even grilled meat also naturally contain these substances without being banned or constituting a major risk when used.

    Phthalate, or more precisely in our case ethyl phthalate , is sometimes present in our formulas. This phthalate is not classified as dangerous according to current regulations and is commonly used in cosmetics (gloss, eyeliner, etc.). It should not be confused with other phthalates banned in France in the toy industry (hello "Made in China" toys).

    Vanillin is a delicious aromatic substance found in vanilla beans or produced synthetically. It is a popular ingredient for enhancing the flavors of various products, such as perfumes.
    Vanillin is the most widely used flavoring in the world. You can find it in many delicious foods, such as ice cream, yogurt, cookies and candies, and even in some medicines.
  • All of our fragrances are developed by Terre de Bougies and manufactured in Grasse in Provençal France by renowned master perfumers . They comply with European (CLP CE N°1907/2006 & 1223/2009/CEE) and French (IFRA) standards.

    We offer +200 fragrances without CMR and without ethyl phthalates . None of the fragrances in our catalog are tested on animals . Our scents are fully suitable for vegans .

    Like the cosmetic perfumes of major brands, our quality fragrances are developed from raw materials that are often noble, natural and/or synthetic . The profession of nose is a true art combining creativity and chemistry .
    So you should know that our perfumers have an average of 4,500 raw materials and that the olfactory possibilities available to them are almost unlimited ...

  • We sell professional perfume concentrates, they are produced exclusively in France and therefore meet CLP (Europe) standards (classification, labeling and packaging of chemical substances and their mixtures).

    These logos and mentions can be found on many products, even the labeling of your dishwasher soap. This is a legal obligation that we scrupulously respect.

  • A perfume should be stored away from light and at room temperature (20°C).
    Under these conditions, you can keep your oil for a maximum of 24 months . If the perfume crystallizes, simply heat it to a maximum of 30°C .
  • These fragrances are often made from noble natural raw materials.
    So, for example, jasmine oil can have a different hue depending on where it is harvested and the season .
    This is the difference between a natural perfume including synthetic processes and a 100% synthetic perfume.
  • When we no longer wish to market a perfume, it is generally present in our "end of series/collection" collection . This category allows you to find all our perfumes that will no longer be offered directly for purchase on the site with variations of 30 mL, 250 mL or 1 L before their deactivation.

    But, it is still possible to order these perfumes after the last stock has sold out!
    For this, a mention appears in the characteristics of the product sheet and you just need to contact us to benefit from an offer in the desired quantity.

    Attention! It is possible to order one or more perfume(s) under these conditions for an order of at least 10 kg per reference. After an initial contact, we will make you a suitable offer.
  • Whether it is a perfume for any type of creation, we are able to create any perfume according to your specifications. It will be necessary to send us a sample and indicate the quantity you want (the minimum being 10 kg).

    All development costs are your responsibility.

  • The candles

  • We classify our candles into three main families:

    Candles poured into containers:

    The melted wax is poured into a heat-resistant container (glass, jar, etc.) in which it will burn completely. This category includes:
    • Handmade scented candles
    • Tea lights , often served in an aluminum dish to decorate or perfume the atmosphere
    • Gourmet candles , with sweet scents and designs inspired by desserts
    • Massage candles , designed with low melting wax to safely collect massage oil after extinguishing
    • Gel candles , made with paraffin gel.

    Molded candles:
    Here, the wax is poured into a mold (silicone, latex or polycarbonate) before being unmolded to obtain various shapes. This technique offers a beautiful diversity of decorative creations, such as:
    • The classic pillar candle and its smaller version, the votive candle , ideal for enhancing a table
    • The tea light candle , with its round shape and long burn time
    • The floating candle , reminiscent of the melts that dance on the surface of the water
    • The screen candle , designed to gently filter and diffuse light
    • The candle , long and tapered, which can also be made by dipping

    Dipped candles:
    This process consists of successively immersing a support in the melted wax to create several layers. The technique thus makes it possible to create sculpted candles with remarkable artistic effects. The candle can also be obtained by this method.

    The primary components of a candle

    The basic components:
    • Wax is the main and most important ingredient. There are different types of waxes suitable for the desired creation: mineral, vegetable or animal wax.
    • It is also necessary to choose your wick which can be made of cotton or wood. The length and size of the wicks can vary depending on the type of candle desired.
    • It is equally essential to select a container or mold suitable for the type of creation you are planning!

    Secondary components

    We find:
    • The fragrance that will constitute the very identity of your candle!
    • Wax or perfume additives to improve the rendering or effectiveness of these raw materials.
    • Dyes and decorations . Please note that mica is not recommended, although its use remains possible in certain creations.
    • Accessories and machines to speed up the performance of your production or improve its quality.

    The essential accessories

    Here are the essential accessories:
    • Thermometer: Knowing the temperature of your wax or mixture is essential
    • Measuring containers: As in cooking, a successful recipe is one in which the dosages are scrupulously respected.
    • Drill Bit Centering: As discussed in our drill bit guide, an off-center drill bit creates a lot of problems!
    • Sticky Pastilles/Waxes: This is very useful in order to properly fix your wick in your container.
    • Double boiler: if you don't have any cast iron appliances, this is the minimum you need.
  • Cargill C3 Soy Wax is a 100% soy wax that requires the addition of additives such as stearin for an optimal result.

    Kerax 4130 Soy Wax is a formulated wax ready to use directly in not requiring the addition of any particular additive for optimal results.
  • Container candle wax is wax that you will pour into containers (glass, metal, etc.) which will burn in the latter , while molded candle wax is wax that you will pour into a mold (silicone, polycarbonate, glass, etc.) which will then be unmolded to be burned.

    Container candle wax will adhere to the walls of the containers , while molded candle wax will create a slight shrinkage to allow it to be unmolded; it can also be used to make scented melts.
  • It can be difficult to know which wick to use for your creation at first. It depends on the type of candle, the wax used and the diameter of your container.
    The wick you choose can affect how your candle burns, melts, and releases aromas. Check out our guide to help you choose the right wick.

     It is important to know that:
    • A weak wick can cause a crater to form in the candle.
    • A wick that is too powerful can produce an intense flame with excessive consumption.
    • A well-fitted wick should melt the wax evenly across the entire diameter with a pool height of 10mm.
  • Liquid candle dyes can also be used with mineral or vegetable waxes.

    The dosage is more precise and the colours can be mixed together very easily.

  • Ambient creations

  • A scented melt is a small wax tablet without a wick, which, once melted, diffuses a scent in your home. It is often used to effectively perfume large rooms and create a warm atmosphere.

  • Micas are mainly suitable for coloring scented wax melts , homemade cosmetics and of course soaps.

    On the other hand, we do not recommend using micas in candles . Indeed, mica is a coloring powder that risks saturating the wick and preventing it from working properly.
  • Soy containing (C3 and 4130) does not allow the creation of scented fondants.

    For C3, you can still get nice results if you use 5% beeswax in addition.

    We recommend using a wax for molded candles and melts (4120, Rapeseed, Coconut or Olive).
  • For optimal conservation, store your fondants in a dark place, away from direct sunlight, and in an airtight container.

    Place the wax melt in a fragrance burner and light a tea light underneath. The heat will melt the melt and release its fragrance.

    It is recommended to wait 48 to 72 hours after manufacturing for optimal diffusion of the fragrance.
  • We find 3 types of diffusers on our site:
    • Stick diffusers (reeds or rattan rods): ideal for gentle, continuous diffusion.
    • Car diffusers: easy to attach to the rearview mirror or ventilation grilles.
    • Room sprays and textile mists: perfect for instant diffusion.

  • To adjust the intensity of the diffusion, you can add or remove rattan rods. The more rods, the more intense the diffusion will be.

    The training courses are aimed at both beginners and professionals (depending on the objective).
    The training courses last on average between 1h30 and 5h. They take place in small groups in order to encourage dialogue and the availability of the professional.
