This new trend has emerged in a more impressive way than ambient products with Augeo in recent months... A trademark has even been registered on terms linked to these creations! Discover our fragrant liquid mixture recipe in detail.

What are scented blends? Are these liquid fondants?

The concept is not very difficult to understand: it is a fragrant mixture, decorated as well as packaged in a bottle. The mixture is to be used like a traditional fondant with a burner but has nothing to do with fondants. This term is therefore not appropriate.

The most important thing to understand is that you need an emulsifying base in order to bring the molecules together in a way that prevents the ingredients from separating. And for this we offer you Isopropyl Myristate as the basis for this creation. It is a vegetable oil that can be heated without danger and is available in our store! It is good to know that the more time passes, the more your scented mixture will present a lower olfactory result. All you have to do is renew the liquid deposited on your burner.

We based ourselves on the recipe of a creator, Latada Fondants, who offers magnificent scented mixtures .

Ingredients for a successful homemade creation

You need 3 ingredients and a bottle to make your scented mixture .

  • Natural mica powder and/or glitter.
  • A squeeze type bottle preferably.
  • A burner/perfume burner and a tealight candle to consume your mixture

Now that you know the ingredients, let's discover the steps of our recipe together.

Detailed recipe for 30ml of your scented liquid mixture

Here are the detailed creation steps for 30ml of fragrant liquid mixture.

  • Take 27ml of isopropyl myristate .
  • Add this myristate to a suitable container.
  • Add 3ml of the perfume of your choice to your myristate.
  • Pour the mica and/or glitter to personalize your fondant.

Is the legislation the same as for traditional fondants?

The legislation is essentially the same as for your solid fondants. Myristate is not classified as dangerous by current regulations. You will therefore have to make your UFI declaration by declaring 70% of your product using the CAS number which is located at the top of the myristate bottle and therefore the perfume. As you will have understood, you must also have the Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for myristate and perfume.

Conclusion

Scented fondants in liquid form are an interesting and original innovation regarding ambient creations. Easy to make with just a few ingredients, they are an attractive alternative to traditional fondants. The legislation in force is similar to that of solid fondants, so don't hesitate any longer and get started!
