Some of our fragrances contain chemical components such as CMR, ethyl phthalate, or vanillin, which are essential to certain scents. There are two ways to use a fragrance to scent a candle. Once incorporated, it will diffuse its scent throughout the room.
The first method, the simplest, is to add a few drops of fragrance to the burning candle’s wax. It is important that the candle has a neutral scent. This method is simple, but the scent will not last long. You will need to regularly refresh the scent using a pipette or dropper. One drop is enough.
The second method, more demanding, involves making your own scented candles. The fragrance must be incorporated directly into the melted wax in a double boiler or other melting device. The higher the percentage, the stronger the scent. The recommended fragrance dosage for a candle is 7% to 10%.
