Natural micas

Natural mica, a pigmented mineral dye, is ideal for tinting candles, fondants and cosmetics. Easy to use, it creates a flickering effect on the surface of the candles without affecting combustion. For flavored fondants, measure between 5 to 10g per 100g. Also use it for cosmetics like soaps, body milks, bath powders, makeup and body paints. Our micas, certified without nano-materials and allergenic substances, comply with European standards and are not tested on animals.

What is mica used for in my homemade creations?

Natural mica is a mineral dye composed of pigmented products, used to tint a candle, a fondant or a cosmetic . Micas are natural dyes that are very easy to use for coloring.

Possible uses of natural mica powder

In a molded or scented candle

It is possible to use mica powder to adorn the surface of your candles, creating a shimmering effect. However, we do not recommend using mica incorporated into your candle wax.

While this is not a problem for making soaps or melts, it could affect the burning of your candle and clog the wick. If you mix the powder with molded wax, an uneven deposit may form at the bottom of the mold and result in an uneven result on the surface.

If you still want to try, make sure not to exceed 2-3 g of mica per 100 g of wax . Applying mica to the surface will not impact the performance of the candle.

For creating your scented fondants

Dosage between 5 to 10g per 100 grams .
