DPM - Dipropylene Glycol – Available in 1 and 5 Liters
Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent base for use with reed diffusers. Non-hazardous, does not trigger hazard statements or pictograms. Now available in 1 and 5 litre sizes.
This versatile and effective solvent, fully soluble in water, is the ideal ally for the design of home fragrances diffused by sticks. Its ability to dilute fragrances ensures a slow and homogeneous diffusion of the fragrance in the ambient air, thus enriching your environment with delicate and persistent scents.
It is a slow evaporating solvent and an excellent fragrance carrier for reed diffusers, environmentally friendly and allergen-free.
This synthetic product is suitable for the addition of solvent-based dyes and can be used in reed diffusers and car diffusers.
Use and dosage of dipropylene glycol
This combination, placed in a suitable container, will diffuse a pleasant and constant fragrance in your living space.
Ideal for a balanced diffusion of fragrances in fiber stick diffusers
We recommend two formulations:
- 15-25% fragrance, 75-85% DPM
- 15% perfume, 15% DPM , 70% ethanol (alcohol)
Mix the fragrance oil with the DPM and stir slowly and thoroughly until the solution is clear. Let sit for 2-3 days before use .
A higher flash point than Dowanol™ PM, ensuring safer handling and storage.
The solvent in its raw state gives off a slight ether-like odor.
Main advantages of this diffuser base
- Clarity and Purity: A clear, colorless, slightly viscous liquid.
- Versatility: Excellent solvent, miscible with water and various organic compounds.
- Safety and Handling: Non-corrosive, with low vapor pressure and high flash point, making it easy to store and transport.
A solvent that is part of an eco-responsible approach
This product is part of an eco-responsible approach, thanks to an RC diffusion base with 70% biogenic content, less toxic than petrochemical alternatives, and which amplifies the intensity of the fragrances while being a clear, colorless and practically odorless liquid.
