Take your candle creations to the next level with our Olive Wax for Cast Candles and Melts , a blend specifically developed for the production of pillar mold candles.
It is a 100% vegetable wax , mainly based on olive wax, mixed with natural additives to improve combustion and diffusion of perfume. This wax is completely free of animal products, paraffin or palm and has not been tested on animals. It is biodegradable and suitable for vegans.
Excellent scent diffusion and smooth finish
EcoOlive PillarBlend provides excellent scent diffusion, both hot and cold, and a smooth surface finish with a subtle sheen. It only requires one pour and is easily removed from the molds. This wax can accommodate a fragrance load of up to 12% with fragrance oils designed for use with natural waxes.
Tips for making this Kerax wax
For best results, we recommend melting this wax at around 75 degrees Celsius and pouring at 65 degrees . A curing time of 48 hours is recommended . As with all candle making, we encourage you to perform thorough testing with all wax, fragrance oil and wick combinations.

Using this Eco Olive Pilar
Mussels
Your molds must be clean and free of contaminants. They should be at least room temperature, although preheating to around 45 - 50°C can be beneficial.
Dyes
If using powder dyes, heat the wax to around 75°C , add the dye and mix until dissolved. Powdered dyes can also be dissolved in perfume before being added to the melted wax.
Perfumes
This olive wax for molded candles and melts has been designed for use with fragrances at levels between 5 - 12%. The use of perfumes specifically developed for natural waxes is strongly recommended.
Wicks
Natural waxes tend to require larger wicks than traditional paraffin waxes. The scent, dye, and configuration of the candle have a big impact on choosing the best wick.
Casting and filling
Temporarily high temperatures (up to 90°C) have no negative effect as long as the wax is cooled quickly. Allow the wax to cool to the desired filling temperature, add the fragrance and mix well.
Filling process
Depending on the type and size of the mold, the scent, the coloring used and the effect you want to achieve, filling temperatures may vary. To achieve better release, it is recommended to pour at a temperature of around 65°C, although this depends on the size and shape of the candle produced. Add and mix the perfume just before filling, if possible. If you are having difficulty with the filling temperature, try increasing or decreasing the temperature in 5-10°C increments . Consider using preheated molds to improve release.
Two-step filling
EcoOlive Molded Candle Olive Wax is designed to require a single pour. However, for some large candles, additional filler may be necessary to achieve a perfect candle surface. A small amount of wax at a temperature slightly higher than the initial filling can be used to top off the candle before it has completely cooled.
Cooling of the candles
Allow the candles to cool slowly to room temperature (around 25°C) . Candles should be left undisturbed for 48 hours before testing.
Combustion test
It is important to check the wicking. Test the candle for burn pool diameter and "mushroom" formation after it has cooled for 48 hours. Try different wicks until you get the desired burn pool diameter and a nice, clean flame.
Each combination of size, wax, dye, fragrance and wick should be tested to obtain an optimal candle.
