Natural mica in your homemade creations

Using mica powder in candles is technically possible, but not recommended. Adding mica to the surface can create a sparkling effect, but incorporating it into wax should be avoided.

Natural mica, of mineral origin, is difficult to mix with wax, which can alter combustion and clog the wick. If you try the experiment, do not exceed 2-3g of mica per 100g of wax. Mixing mica with cast wax can result in an uneven deposit at the bottom of the mold.

The mica will saturate the wax (like the dye), it will be advisable to use a larger size for the candle wick, it is advisable to stick to pastel colors for candles.

For scented fondants

In your scented fondants you can dose between 0.5 and 1g per 100 grams.
